Help with Scout Group costs (Ticket to Play)
Ticket to Play is a Tasmanian Government initiative designed to reduce the cost of participating in club sporting activities for Tasmanian children and has been extended. Please go to https://www.communities.tas.gov.au/ticket-to-play/information-for-parents-guardians-carers to seek more information. The key objective of Ticket to Play is to increase the number of young Tasmanian’s playing sport and other activities such as scouting and supporting the Tasmanian Government’s objective of Tasmania being the healthiest population by 2025. Applicants must be a) living in Tasmania; b) aged between 5 and 17 years old at the time of application; and c) be listed on a valid Centrelink Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card (either their own or their parent, guardian or carer’s) or be in Out of Home Care.
WHAT CAN I USE A VOUCHER FOR? The voucher can be used at approved activity providers who meet certain eligibility criteria. The voucher is available for use toward the cost of membership fees. Other items such as group fees, uniforms, equipment, footwear etc. are not eligible.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR A VOUCHER? You can apply for a voucher https://www.communities.tas.gov.au/ticket-to-play/apply-for-a-voucher
The system will assess your child’s eligibility and, if approved will automatically send you a unique code via email. Hand your leader a copy of this number and a photocopy of your concession card and we will submit for you. The amount of the voucher will be taken off the Youth members registration fee. The Group will then be invoiced for the balance.
